Free Ski Days3:00-4:30pm One day per week (weather dependent) Carey Lake Trail Head Cross country ski beginners of all ages are invited to meet weekly at the Carey Lake trail head for a group session. The day will vary according to the weather forecast and will be posted on the "Hibbing Parks & Rec" facebook page. Participants can also call the Memorial Building at (218)362-5951. Experiences skiers will be on site to help and the equipment will be provided at no cost. Please call the Memorial Building or send a facebook message to reserve your skis. If you always wanted to try, this is the perfect opportunity. | Open SkatingJanuary 22, 2024 (No School) Hibbing Memorial Building Open skating is available to skaters of all ages and ability levels. You must provide your own skates. The cost is $3 per person. * Hockey will not be permitted during these open skate hours. * |

Activities Fair4-7pm on March 21, 2024 Hibbing Memorial Building Table registration will begin in January 2024. Clubs, sports, groups, and activities in the Hibbing area are welcome to come and staff a table to provide information to the community about any and all recreational/extracurricular activities that are available to them. The goal is to be an all-encompassing collection of activity options for people of all ages with a wide variety of interests. |
Community Easter EventFriday, March 29, 2024 Lincoln Elementary School Kids 12 and under are welcome to join is at the Lincoln Elementary for games, candy, the Easter Bunny, and prizes. This will be different than a traditional Egg Hunt due to space limitations and Minnesota winters. Participants MUST pre-register for this free event and space is limited. All kids will leave with pre-portioned Easter candy. Please follow "Hibbing Parks & Rec" on facebook for the latest details and a flyer in the school folders for registration information. |

Hibbing on HowardMondays from 5-7 DowntownGames & activities for kids of all ages. Each week has a different theme, such as Superheroes, Princesses, Sports, Rodeo, & World's Largest Water Fight. What could be better than playing life size hungry hungry hippos in the middle of the street on a beautiful summer nights with your friends and neighbors? We take care of all the set-up and tear-down, you and your family can enjoy a ready made night of so much fun. This is definitely the best night of the week. The event is free of cost to the community. This event series will continue through the month of July. *There will be food trucks in attendance each week available with regular pricing. | Camp HurrahJune 18-20 at Carey LakeAn old favorite is being brought back. A fun camp experience right in the city limits of Hibbing. It is brought to you by Hibbing City Services. The three-day camp registration will open in Spring of 2024. Participants will spend three days discovering things in nature through hiking, paddling, crafting, and playing. Community experts will teach them to identify plants, paddle a canoe or kayak, build a campfire, and plenty more! In between there will be lots of camp songs, arts and crafts, and games. Hibbing Halloween 'Sweets on the Streets' 5k & Kids Fun Run Registration
- Saturday, October 26 at 10 am.
- Kids Fun Run ($10): Ages 1-12
- Sweets on the Streets 5k ($25): Ages 13 and up
Join us on Saturday, October 26th for the third annual Hibbing Halloween 5K and Kids Fun Run. Round up your most festive costume - group themes are encouraged! During the course you'll enjoy some festive music, loads of candy, and plenty of fellow 5Kers dressed to impress. As the 5K wraps up we will send our littles (ages 1-12) off on their own fun run where they can collect candy as they go. We will have prizes for costumes and overall winners in both the 5K and Kids Fun Run. Never before has there been quite as many "Sweets on the Streets."
Early Morning Registration on Saturday, October 28th is from 8:30-9:30 in the Lobby at the Hibbing Memorial Building. The races will start and finish in front of the Memorial Building on 23rd St, going two loops around the city passing the Hibbing High School and City Hall.

Christmas Planter & FondueMid-November Hibbing Memorial Building - Dining Room Ladies 16 and older are invited to come and create a festive winter planter. Pots are available, but if you want to bring your own there is a discount. The demo begins at 6:30, with fondue to follow. Please join us for a relaxing and fun night out! Provided by the class: balsam boughs, birch poles, containers, ribbons, accessories, fondue & refreshments. *Registration: will open in October 2023* |
