Per our City Ordinances, Calendar/Alternate Parking is when you can only park on one side of the street based on the calendar date. Calendar parking applies to all public streets within the Hibbing urban zone. To see what streets are exempt from calendar parking, click here. Calendar parking is enforced year-round from 6pm to 6pm. For example: On odd days, before 6pm, you park on the side of the street that has odd house numbers. After 6pm you would park on the even side of the street because the next calendar day is even.
As noted on the bottom of your parking ticket, if payment is not received within 7 days, an additional $5.00 charge will be assessed. A $40.00 additional penalty will be added if you fail to pay within 28 days of issue date. If payment is not received within 60 days, the total amount due will be sent to a collection agency.
Your ticket will list your violation. Look below the violation for any added notes that may describe why you received it. If you are unsure what the violation means, please view our Parking Enforcement page and click on the violation you received to bring you to the ordinance that describes the violation.
