The inaugural Cops Serving Cones: Ice Cream Social hosted by the men and women of the Hibbing Police Department has been rescheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. THIS Thursday, Sept. 26. The sweet gathering will take place at 1810 12th Ave. E., where we’ll enjoy some delicious ice cream, great company and good vibes.
We invite you to go beyond the badge to:
• meet our hard-working officers and investigators who respond to incidents, solve crimes and keep our community safe.
• check out a squad.
• hear about the Range Youth Police Academy, the Special Olympics Polar Plunge & Torch, and the department’s commitment to public service beyond traditional law enforcement.
• learn about the inner workings of the department, including how officers are trained, how investigations are conducted, and the policies that guide police work.
• pick up tips on how you can be more proactive in your own safety and help contribute to community well-being.
• hear testimony about the space challenges and other inadequacies posed at the current facility and the city’s Your Safety,
Our Priority plan for a new regional public safety center.
This will be a welcoming, informal setting for open dialogue, where residents can ask questions, voice concerns, and gain a better understanding of law enforcement's role in their community.
Feel free to bring a friend, your favorite toppings, or just your sweet tooth as we celebrate the partnership between the police department and the community!
