On Feb. 10, at approximately 0832 hrs. the Hibbing Fire Department was dispatched to a report of smoke coming from a house in the 2100 Block 41st St. E. Battalion 1, Ladder 1, and Engine 1 responded. Our automatic mutual aid system was also initiated by St Louis County 911. Units arrived on scene to find an active fire in multiple levels of the home. The house was unoccupied. Fire crews were able to knock down the main body of fire quickly. Extensive overhaul lasting several hours was required to put out hot spots. No residents or firefighters suffered any injuries. The cause is under investigation by the Hibbing Fire Department.
