The following loan periods apply only to Hibbing Public Library items. Items owned by the Hibbing Public Library do not accrue fines, although they are subject to all lost, damaged, and lost processing charges. Items that belong to another location or to another library that are checked out at the Hibbing Public Library will accrue fines according to the owning library's policy.
When the loan period on a library item is surpassed, no further items may be checked out on that account until the overdue item is returned or renewed. Each library in the Arrowhead Library System may have differing fines and loan periods.
When materials are overdue for a period exceeding 45 days, the borrower will be billed for the cost of the materials, a processing fee and any overdue fines.
If an item has been requested, that item cannot be renewed. Otherwise, all Hibbing Public Library items may be renewed up to two times over the phone, in person or online.
