The vision and development goals for the new neighborhood have been drafted and presented to the city council. Now, we want your input to help shape its future.
Future Neighborhood Vision (draft):
"An attractive residential neighborhood that enhances the surrounding neighborhood and broader community both socially and environmentally. The new neighborhood will create a desirable place to live by providing high-quality housing options, inviting public open spaces, focusing on sustainability, and active connections to adjacent neighborhoods and amenities."
- Goal 1 - Circulation and Connectivity: Improve the circulation and connectivity through the new neighborhood to the adjacent neighborhood and nearby amenities.
- Goal 2 – Land Use: Create a vibrant and active neighborhood within the larger existing neighborhood.
- Goal 3 – Housing: de high-quality single-family detached home options to meet broad community needs now and in the future.
- Goal 4 – Parks & Open Space: Provide an interconnected contiguous park and series of open spaces with enhanced on-site programming that meets the neighborhood’s and community’s needs now and in the future.
- Goal 5 – Nature & Environment: Create a sustainable neighborhood development that will serve as a model for future residential developments in the broader community and region.

The deadline for input is Friday, Dec. 27. Together, we can ensure this housing project meets the needs and aspirations of our community. Adoption of the final vision and goals is anticipated to take place in January 2025.
