2023 Hibbing Paving Project Details (PDF)

 Greetings,

The City of Hibbing awarded the 2023 Paving project to KGM Constructors. As part of the project this year, we will be rehabilitating 21st Street from 1^st Avenue to 7^th Avenue East. The project details are as follows:

New bituminous surface

• Partial curbing and sidewalk replacement. 
• We will be removing and replacing any broken curbing. 
• We will be removing and replacing any sidewalk that is adjacent to the broken curbing (where there is no boulevard).
• We will be installing new handicap ramps at all intersections.

 There may be times when you cannot access your driveways during construction. We ask that you please be patient.

 Construction is planned to start on May 15th and should be completed in June.  

June 1^st & 2^nd – Pave the frontage road by Holiday and the Ford Garage, hope to get the base course and wear course completed

                                Bituminous Milling on Southview Drive

June 5^th – 9^th – Pave Southview Drive, Pave the frontage Road by IronRange Tire

                             Pave 1^st Avenue Frontage Road

                           Begin Placing the class 5 base on Pintar Road

                           End of Week begin concrete removal on 21^st Street

June 12^th – 16^th – Pave Pintar Road

                                Pave 6^th Avenue West, Pave 7^th Avenue West

                               Finish Paving 19^th Avenue East

                               Place all concrete on 21^st Street

June 19^th – 23^rd – Pave 21^st Street

                               Place shouldering material
