Residential Garbage

Residential garbage is picked up either from curbside or alley containers one time each week by the City of Hibbing's Solid Wast Department. All containers are supplied by the City of Hibbing.

Household garbage bills includes the following monthly charges:

Commercial Garbage

Commercial customers are charged on a volume basis and do not use BlueBags. The minimum monthly commercial charge for two cubic yards is $41.08, each additional cubic yard is $22.52.

Hibbing Roll-off Container Site

Household garbage can also be brought to the Roll off Container Site at 3994 Landfill Road (1 mile west of the cemetery on Highway 169).

Hours & Payment

Hours at the facility are 8 am to 4:30 pm. Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 8 am to 3:30 pm.

Payment accepted by coupon or check made out to "County Auditor". No cash is accepted at the site. Call the container site 218-262-6488 for a list of coupon vendors.
